Due to the expanding “heat dome” in the US, about 100 million people in 27 states are reported to be affected by extreme heat.

According to the Australian broadcaster ABC, the expansion of the “heat dome”, which occurs when a high pressure system hangs over the same area for a long time and traps hot air under it, causes extreme heat.

Due to the expanding heat dome, about 100 million people in 27 states, including New York and Los Angeles, the most populous cities in the US, are exposed to extreme heat waves.

It was reported that the temperature in New York could exceed 35.5 degrees Celsius, a 136-year record. In Washington state in the west of the country, it was reported that the temperature reached 37.7 degrees in June for the first time since 2012.

Temperatures in the western US states of California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah are also expected to exceed 37.7 degrees.
