According to the statement made by the meteorological unit, while the temperature is expected to drop in the coming days in the center and northwest of India, the heat wave is expected to continue in the east of the country. It was stated that the loss of life in Bihar and Odisha occurred as a result of sunstroke in Rourke district and Aurangabad city. It was also stated that 3 people lost their lives in Jharkhand state of Bihar.
On the other hand, it was stated that 7 more people lost their lives yesterday and the exact causes of death will be determined after autopsy. It was shared that outdoor activities were banned between 11.00-15.00 in Odisha.
This week, with the heat wave in some parts of India, thermometers reached a record high of 52.3 degrees in the capital Delhi. While 15 people were reported to have died as a result of heatstroke in the eastern states of Bihar and Odisha, it was announced that the air temperature was 4.5 to 6.4 degrees higher than normal before entering June.
