In the floods and landslides in the cantons of Valais and Ticino in southern Switzerland, 4 people lost their lives and 1 person went missing.

In Valais and Ticino, heavy rainfall and snowmelt over the weekend caused landslides and floods.
Making a written statement about the landslide in the Maggia Valley in Ticino, the cantonal police stated that 3 people lost their lives and 1 person was missing.
