CEMBER-18″ operations: 4,995 fugitives captured in 5 days Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced on his social media account that 4,995 suspects were captured regarding the Çember-18 operation. During the operations carried out by Provincial Gendarmerie Commands, Provincial Security Directorates and Coast Guard Command across 81 provinces, suspects were caught during road searches, raids on homes and workplaces, and identity checks.
Stating that 4,938 suspects wanted for 0-5 years, 29 suspects wanted for 5-10 years, 28 suspects wanted for 10 years or more were caught in the operation, he said, “We will never allow fugitive criminals to roam our streets. We did not and will not allow them to disturb the peace of our families!”
