In Gaziantep, 9 people were killed when a minibus collided with a concrete-laden vehicle. In the expert report prepared on the accident, it was noted that the driver of the concrete-laden vehicle ignored 3 traffic signs on the road. It was also stated that the vehicle exceeded the speed limit.

An expert report was prepared on the accident in Islahiye district of Gaziantep, where a minibus and a concrete-laden vehicle collided and 9 people lost their lives.

According to the news in AA, İslahiye Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the accident in which 9 people were killed and 11 people were injured when a cement-laden vehicle driven by Mehmet G. crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a minibus driven by Latif Örs at the Ağabey locality of İslahiye-Hatay highway on Monday, May 6.

In the 23-page expert report submitted to the investigation file, it was pointed out that the driver of the concrete-laden vehicle ignored 3 traffic signs on the road.

The report stated that the vehicle exceeded the speed limits and said, “According to the tachograph record, it is understood that the vehicle entered the intersection, which is the scene of the accident, at a speed of 90 km/h, which is very high and dangerous for the type of towing vehicle, and also by driving carelessly and carelessly and uncontrollably.”

NO BRAKE MARK

Regarding the driver’s statements about health problems, the report stated that the driver did not take the necessary precautions and had a total of 6 faults, and the following statements were used

“By crossing the left lane of the divided road and entering the right lane of the opposite direction, the driver hit the minibus approaching the intersection from the opposite direction, starting from the left side and middle parts and towards the rear, with the left front parts of the tow truck at high speed and violently applying force in the opposite direction. The driver caused high damage and left tire marks, scrapes and scuff marks on the road without creating any brake marks.”

The report stated that the driver of the minibus did not violate any traffic rules and that the highway did not have a structure that contributed to the accident.
