The Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, announced that a total of 4.8 billion Turkish liras was deposited this month to support 544,000 citizens receiving home care assistance.
Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, emphasized the importance of preserving the family unity of disabled citizens, stating: “Through home care assistance, we support the preservation and strengthening of family unity by allowing individuals with disabilities to live with their families or close relatives without leaving their environment.”
Göktaş highlighted that a monthly payment of 9,077 Turkish liras is provided per eligible recipient under the home care assistance program. She continued:
“This month, we deposited a total of 4.8 billion Turkish liras in home care assistance into the accounts of families with fully dependent individuals cared for at home. Currently, 544,000 citizens benefit from this program. Within the framework of our Century of Türkiye vision, as a Ministry, we will continue our efforts to ensure the sustainability of rights-based social assistance programs in the field of disability with a transparent approach. I wish that these payments bring ease to all disabled citizens and their families.”
