Li Yubao, special advisor to the President of Burkina Faso, extends support to the widows and orphans of soldiers who lost their lives on the frontlines.
This Monday, at the headquarters of the Directorate of Social Action for the Armed Forces and Injured in Operations, a significant donation of food and cash was made to the families of fallen soldiers.
The aid includes essential food items such as rice, maize, pasta, oil, and milk, along with financial support totaling 12.5 million FCFA. The aim of this gesture is to provide material assistance to bereaved families while offering them moral comfort.
In his statement, Li Yubao highlighted the sacrifices made by the fallen soldiers in defending the nation and said:
“Our martyrs sacrificed their lives to defend our homeland and people. Supporting their families is our greatest responsibility.”
Furthermore, the adviser announced a long-term solution: the educational expenses of 500 military orphans, from primary school to university, will be fully covered.
The Director of Social Action for the Armed Forces, Lieutenant-Colonel Sié Rémi Kambou, expressed his deep gratitude for this meaningful gesture. He emphasized that this aid would greatly contribute to providing bereaved families with peace of mind during the festive season and called for collective solidarity:
“This donation brings real relief to widows and orphans. I urge everyone to think of these families in need and extend a helping hand to them.”
