The incident occurred at the public beach in Babasultan district of Eğirdir district of Isparta. According to the information obtained, a citizen who entered the lake for swimming yesterday evening saw that there was explosive material on the shore of the lake and reported it.
7 grenades detected
Police teams were dispatched to the area upon a report. After the investigation, the teams determined that there were 7 grenades in the lake and took extensive security measures in the area and closed the beach to entrances and exits.
Bomb disposal experts are expected
On the other hand, it is learned that bomb disposal experts from Istanbul Naval Forces Command are expected to arrive for the safe removal of the grenades in the water.
In September last year, 11 grenades were found in the same area and were destroyed by a team from Istanbul Naval Forces Command.
