Fatih Terim, whose name was mentioned in the high-profit secret fund case, filed a complaint against Denizbank. Terim’s lawyers announced that a lawsuit was filed against the bank and bank employees for material and moral damages.
After parting ways with Panathinaikos in Greece, Fatih Terim is now on the agenda with the “high-profit secret fund” case. In this case, which victimizes well-known names in the sports world, Terim is among those who have suffered damage and has decided to initiate the legal process.
According to Gazete Oksijen, Terim filed a lawsuit for material and moral damages against the bank and those responsible. In a statement made through his lawyers, it was stated that Terim filed a lawsuit for moral damages against Denizbank A.Ş. at the Istanbul Civil Courts of First Instance.
In addition, on June 2, 2023, Terim personally went to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and gave his statement as a complainant and filed a criminal complaint against those who harmed him. In April 2023, when it was revealed that the deposit information provided by the Denizbank branch manager and some bank employees was untrue, Terim filed a complaint against them.
Terim’s lawyers stated that their client would make the necessary explanation on this issue in due time. Terim has so far refrained from making public statements out of respect for the judicial process. However, it was stated that as the legal process progresses, necessary information will be provided.
In this case, in which Seçil Erzan is the main defendant, a prison sentence of up to 285 years is requested for Erzan. In addition to Erzan, who is on trial for forgery of private documents and qualified fraud, Ali Yörük, Kerem Can, Hüseyin Eligül, Nazlı Can, Atilla Yörük and Asiye Öztürk are also on trial for similar offenses. The new indictment prepared by the prosecutor’s office was accepted and the number of victims increased in the case heard by the Istanbul 41st High Criminal Court.
