In Aksaray, an unlicensed and alcoholic driver, who was intercepted and caught while fleeing after disobeying the police’s “stop” warning, said “Mashallah” to the police officer he was trying to escape and said, “The police are my fearful dream, Turkish police cannot be escaped.”
The incident happened at midnight on Aksaray Kalealtı Street. According to the information obtained, Provincial Security Directorate Public Security and Traffic Branch teams, who were conducting an enforcement with watchmen under the coordination of Aksaray Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, warned the car with the license plate 68 ADF 842 to “stop” on suspicion.
The driver, who did not obey the warning and pressed the gas instead of brake, was caught in a short time by the police team lying in ambush ahead. The driver Ö.E. (23), who was taken out of the car and tried to be detained, said, “What’s wrong, why are you handcuffing me, what are you talking about? I don’t have a driver’s license, that’s why I don’t stop.” The driver, who was taken into custody with difficulty, did not like where he was going to get into the back of the police vehicle and said, “I won’t get in the back, brother, give me my phone.”
The police asked the driver to verify his identity and asked for his Turkish Republic ID number. The driver, who could not say the number for the second time due to his fast speech, blamed the police officers by saying “You made me forget my Turkish ID number”. The driver gave an interesting answer to the journalists’ question “Why did you run away from the police?” and said “How could I not run away from the police, for God’s sake, the police is my fearful dream”. The driver was checked for alcohol by traffic teams and was found to be 0.63 promil alcoholic. During the alcohol check, the driver who said that he had lost his driver’s license for driving under the influence said, “Thank God I didn’t get the license. I am a tradesman in the industry. I am not a stranger. I lost my license in alcohol before. Fortunately, I did not buy it, I paid for it.”
The driver said, “Turkish police cannot escape, mashallah” and added, “I thought maybe I would escape, I thought the license plate of the vehicle would be fined, but I couldn’t escape.” In the interrogation of the driver, it was learned that he had been driving under the influence of alcohol before and his driver’s license was permanently revoked for this reason, and he was fined a total of 19 thousand 417 TL, 6 thousand 439 TL for driving under the influence of alcohol and 12 thousand 978 TL for driving without a license. While the driver Ö.E. was taken to the police station for statement, the vehicle was banned from traffic and towed to the parking lot.
