A robbery that resembled a movie scene took place at the Memduh Pasha Mansion in Sarıyer. The private security guard working for the company in the mansion made a plan, and together with 4 accomplices, stole approximately 130 million liras of foreign currency from 4 safes that they broke the locks of, loaded them into a truck with sacks and escaped. After the movie-like robbery, the police of the Public Security Directorate went after the thieves.
The incident occurred yesterday around 03.30 at the Memduh Pasha Mansion in Sarıyer Kireçburnu. According to the information obtained, Ahmet Y., who started working as a private security guard in a construction company located in the mansion about 1.5 years ago, made a plan that would not look like a movie scene. After silencing the alarm at night, Ahmet Y. let in 4 people wearing masks and black clothes. The thieves, who drove a gray pickup truck to the mansion, then broke the doors of 4 safes inside.

The thieves then stole approximately 130 million liras of foreign currency, which they filled into 3 sacks in the crates, and quickly disappeared after loading them into a pickup truck. A police team was dispatched to the scene upon the report of Ümit E., a business owner who came to the mansion in the morning. Arriving in a short time, the teams examined the camera footage at the mansion.

It was determined that Ahmet Y., the identified private security guard, let in 4 masked men, broke the locks of the safes in the mansion, filled the foreign currency into sacks, and put the sacks in the body of the pickup truck docked at the mansion. It was determined that the thieves then got on the truck and drove away. The Asayish Branch Directorate teams, who started a study on the incident, started to work to catch the thieves.
