A National Football Team will face Austria tomorrow in the last 16 round match of the 2024 European Championship (EURO 2024). If the Ay-yildiz team passes the round, they will be paired with the winner of Netherlands-Romania in the quarterfinals.
Turkey, which finished second in its group in the championship hosted by Germany and made its name in the last 16 round, aims to advance to the quarterfinals by beating Austria. The match at the stadium of the same name in the city of Leipzig will kick off at 22.00 GMT.
The Turkish team finished in second place in Group F with Portugal, Georgia and the Czech Republic with two wins and one defeat.
Austria, on the other hand, managed to finish as the leader of Group D with 6 points, where it competed with France, the Netherlands and Poland.
The team that passes this round will play the winner of the Netherlands-Romania match in the quarter-finals in Berlin on July 6.
Portuguese referee will officiate
Artur Soares Dias from Portugal will be the referee for the match between Austria and Turkey.
Dias will be assisted by Paulo Soares and Pedro Ribeiro from the same country. The fourth referee of the match will be Mykola Balakin from Ukraine Football Federation.
Portuguese Tiago Martins will be the VAR for the match.
Important absentees in the National Team
National Team captain Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Samet Akaydın, who are serving card suspensions, will not play in tomorrow’s match.
Abdülkerim Bardakcı, whose suspension is over, will be able to take his place on the pitch.
In Austria, midfielder Patrick Wimmer, who received his second yellow card in the Netherlands match and is suspended, will not be able to play against Turkey.
