On the FlightRadar24 application, it was seen that the Akıncı UAV, after successfully completing its mission in Iran and returning home, drew a moon and star route in the sky before landing at its base in Van.

The Akıncı UAV, which was assigned by Turkey to search for the helicopter carrying Iranian President Reisi and some officials after it crashed, had detected a heat source that could be the wreckage of the helicopter and shared its coordinates with the Iranian authorities.

Following the detection of the Akinci UAV, the Iranian Red Crescent announced that they had found the location of the wreckage of President Reisi’s helicopter.

Iranian state television announced that there were no signs of life at the helicopter’s wreckage point.

Hundreds of thousands had followed the Akıncı UAV

President Reisi had attended the inauguration ceremony of a dam on the Iran-Azerbaijan border by helicopter yesterday.

Iranian state television announced that the accident occurred when Reisi’s helicopter made a hard landing while returning from the region; Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahiyan, East Azerbaijan Province Governor Malik Rahmati and Tabriz Friday Imam Ayatollah Ali Hashim were also on board.

Search and rescue teams reported that the work was continuing with difficulty due to unfavorable weather conditions, and Iran had requested an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) from Turkey to conduct aerial searches.

The flight of the Akıncı UAV attracted great attention around the world from the beginning.

According to the FlightRadar24 application, more than 200 thousand people followed the circular movements of the Akinci UAV in the skies over Iran.

Iranian state television announced that Iranian President Ibrahim Reisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian were killed in the helicopter crash.
