At the mobile migration point, which will serve to facilitate the identification of irregular migrants and speed up the procedures, it will be possible to determine in a short time whether foreigners who cannot present their identity or whose identity is suspected by security forces have the right to stay in the country legally. Irregular migrants without a legal stay permit will be sent to the Removal Center after the determination. Governor Cahit Çelik visited the mobile migration point vehicle that will serve in Ömer Halisdemir Square and received information from the officers. Governor Çelik made a statement to journalists here, stating that a total of 360 irregular migrants were caught in Niğde in 2023 and sent to the Repatriation Center, “Since there is a Repatriation Center here, the number of irregular migrants deported from our province together with irregular migrants sent from other provinces was one thousand 169. In 2024, 94 irregular migrants were caught in our province so far, and 396 irregular migrants were deported in 2024 with the number sent to the Removal Center from other provinces.”
Stating that the security units will determine whether the migrants who are suspicious of their identity or who cannot present their identity and passport have the right to legal stay in Turkey with the process to be carried out in the mobile vehicle, Governor Çelik stated that the application will be effective and efficient in combating irregular migration.
