In the United States, a person who called voters with President Biden’s voice made by artificial intelligence was fined 6 million dollars.

Artificial intelligence makes life easier on the one hand, but brings concerns on the other. With the widespread use of artificial intelligence in daily life, its malicious use has also increased.
In particular, the ability of artificial intelligence to imitate the voice and image of a person very close to reality has paved the way for the malicious use of this new technology.
In the United States, a record fine was imposed for voice imitation by artificial intelligence.
In the state of New Hampshire, a 6 million dollar fine was imposed on the person who called voters before the primary elections in January by imitating the voice of President Joe Biden by artificial intelligence.
Steven Kramer, a political consultant, was accused of using technology to create a false identity and deceive voters.
The Federal Communications Commission fined Kramer $6 million under the “Caller ID Disclosure Act” and fined Lingo Telecom, the company through which Kramer made the calls, $2 million.
Kramer was also charged with 13 crimes, including “voter suppression” for the automated calls impersonating Biden.
