In London, animal rights activists attacked the first official portrait of King Charles III of England at the Philip Mould Gallery.

Activists from the animal rights organization “Animal Rising” in the UK targeted the first official portrait of King Charles III at the Philip Mould Gallery in the capital London. Activists attached a sticker with the face of Wallece, one of the main characters of the cartoon “Wallace and Gromit”, to King Charles’ face, and a speech balloon with the words “Gromit, look at the cruelty to animals on Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) farms” to the painting. The activists said they wanted to draw attention to the cruelty to animals on RSPCA farms. The Metropolitan Police Service came to the gallery after the images were shared on social media. The police stated that there was no damage to the painting with glass in front of it.
The work of art by artist Jonathan Yeo is known as the first official portrait of King Charles after his coronation.
