US fast food chains’ branches in Iraq were attacked with bombs and guns after Israel’s attack on a tent camp in Rafah.
Following the Israeli attack on a tent camp in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah last night, US food chains have come under fire. In the Iraqi capital Baghdad, the Palestine Street branch of a US fast food chain was attacked with a grenade yesterday. While there was no loss of life in the restaurant where a grenade was thrown by unidentified people, material damage occurred. Baghdad Operations Command stated that 2 people detained on suspicion of carrying out the attack were arrested.
ARMED GROUP RAIDED THE RESTAURANT
An armed group attacked the branch of the same chain restaurant in Jadiriyeh area in the capital this morning. The group, who were reported to be masked, caused great damage to the restaurant they raided.
ANOTHER BOMB ATTACK IN THE MORNING HOURS
Another US chain restaurant on Palestine Street in Baghdad was attacked with a grenade this morning. Material damage occurred in the restaurant after the attack carried out by unidentified persons.
A large group gathered in front of the famous US restaurant chain in Baghdad in the past days and demanded the closure of the chain’s branches in Iraq.
