In Sivas, a 1.5-year-old cat named “Yulaf”, who had difficulty breathing due to narrow nostrils, regained his health with a nose operation.
Ataberk Dursun applied to veterinarian İbrahim Özmen because his Scottish breed cat Yulaf could not breathe comfortably.
Özmen decided to perform a nose operation on the cat with a narrow nose structure.
Yulaf, who had a successful operation, regained his health after the surgery.
In a statement to journalists, Özmen said that they widened Yulaf’s nasal passages with the operation.
Stating that they performed this operation for medical reasons, Özmen said, “In veterinary medicine, such applications are performed as in human medicine. Of course, our goals are different, there it is done more for aesthetic and cosmetic purposes. But we do it for medical reasons.”
Explaining that Yulaf was brought to the clinic with the complaint of respiratory distress, Özmen said:
“This was due to the narrow nasal structure and we widened the nasal canals with the operation. Her condition is fine, she has some edema and we are waiting for it to decrease.
