US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that 1384 metric tons of humanitarian aid was delivered to civilians via a temporary pier set up on the coast of the Gaza Strip in the last week.

“Last weekend, CENTCOM delivered 1384 metric tons of aid to the beach in Gaza. This included 720 metric tons of aid on Sunday, the largest single-day shipment of aid to date. Since May 17, more than 6,206 metric tons of humanitarian aid have been delivered from the pier to the storage area where it can be collected by humanitarian organizations for later distribution. This humanitarian operation has been possible thanks to our ongoing partnership with the United Nations and numerous international and regional partners,” the statement said.
