In Niğde, 3 people from the same family lost their lives and 4 people were injured in a collision between a truck, a car and a truck.
The car with license plate 01 PF 509 driven by Mehmet Yaşar Kılınç (66), the truck with license plate 01 Y 2868 driven by H.K. and the truck with license plate 20 LJ 016 driven by Ü.Ç collided at the Darboğaz locality between Pozantı-Ulukışla on the D-750 highway.
Upon the notification, many gendarmerie, AFAD, fire brigade and health teams were dispatched to the accident scene.
Car driver Kılınç, his wife Vesile (57) and daughter Ebru Kılınç (29) died in the accident. The seriously injured Eymen and Ekim Kılınç, the truck driver and a person in the same vehicle were hospitalized.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Ulukışla State Hospital morgue.
Niğde Governor Cahit Çelik, Provincial Police Chief Adnan Özdemir and Ulukışla District Governor Yunus Köse came to the accident scene and received information from Ulukışla District Governor Yunus Köse.
Making statements to the press members here, Governor Çelik wished God’s mercy to those who lost their lives in the accident and a speedy recovery to the injured.
“2 of our injured are in serious condition”
Stating that 4 people who were injured in the accident were taken to hospitals, Çelik said, “From the first moment of the incident, we immediately directed the gendarmerie, police, health, AFAD teams. 2 of our injured are in serious condition, the other injured are in good condition. We can transfer our seriously injured patients to other hospitals.”
Çelik said that the car coming from Pozantı direction collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction and then the truck collided with a truck.
Stating that the health condition of the truck driver and his passenger was good, Çelik added that the road, which was closed due to the accident, was reopened to traffic.
