Nigerian forward Gift Orban, playing for Lyon, has drawn interest from Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.

Signed from Gent for €14 million, Orban has struggled to meet expectations and secure playing time. Over the past two months, he has played only 73 minutes, yet the two German giants remain keen on acquiring him.

At 22, Orban had an impressive start at Lyon, scoring three goals in his first few matches. However, despite initial starts, he was soon relegated to the bench.

In Lyon’s last 13 games, Orban has featured in only two matches, with a total of just 73 minutes on the pitch. The club’s inability to effectively utilize him coincides with significant financial difficulties, leading Lyon to consider selling several players.

The club has set Orban’s price at €25 million, a figure deemed reasonable by both Dortmund and Leipzig.
