The Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) announced a last-minute hike in electricity. Electricity was increased by 38 percent. The new electricity tariff will be effective as of July 1.

The Energy Market Regulatory Authority announced a hike in electricity. According to the statement made by EMRA, electricity prices were increased. With the 38 percent increase in electricity, the amount to be paid for a residential subscriber with 100 kilowatt hours of electricity consumption became 207.23 TL.

In the statement made by EMRA, it was stated that due to the increase in energy production costs, the final electricity retail sales prices were increased by 38 percent for the residential subscriber group, 30 percent for the agricultural activities subscriber group, 38 percent for the low tier of the public and private services sector subscriber group and 20 percent for the high tier.
