The use of facial images and other sensitive data will be restricted. It is emphasized that artificial intelligence systems that manipulate human behavior will be banned.
It is stated that general-purpose AI systems must meet certain transparency criteria before being put on the market. It is stated that companies may be fined if the rules are not followed.
The law will enter into force within 2 years after its publication in the EU Official Journal.
With this new law, various AI technologies such as Google’s AI model Gemini and ChatGPT will have to comply with the new rules.
