In Adana’s Kozan district, where the felt temperature reached 50 degrees Celsius with humidity, the heat made the citizens of African origin say “give up”. Abdülşükür Maiga stated that there is no such heat in Africa and invited the people of Adana to Africa.

Abdülşükür Maiga (31), who came to Turkey from the West African country of Burkina Faso to study in Istanbul and then married a young girl from Adana, came to Kozan for sightseeing. Maiga stated that Africa is also hot but not as hot as Adana and said that Adana heat is unbearable.

Maiga and his family, who came to the Kozan Municipality Dağılcak Nature Park in the Kozan district of Adana to cool off, stated that they love Adana very much and noted that Adana is much hotter than Africa but the people are very warm-blooded.

Maiga, who stated that he came to Turkey for education, said, “I came from Burkina Faso in West Africa. Adana is very hot, even hotter than our side. There is a terrible humidity. It is hot here at night and very hot during the day. I came to Turkey for education and then I started to trade. My wife is from Adana. Adana is very hot but the people are very warm and good. Let’s not go into the heat. Africa is very big and as you go towards the Sahara it gets very hot. The temperature in the Sahara can go up to 60 degrees. When we compare 60 degrees there with 50 degrees here, it is hotter here. There is a lot of humidity. We expect the people of Adana to Africa. We found Kozan very beautiful. We came here on vacation with our family.”

Rıfat Akşahin, the operator of Dağılcak Nature Park in Kozan, noted that Dağılcak Nature Park welcomed about 40 thousand visitors this month with its coolness and nature with the holiday and extreme heat, and said that due to the extreme heat in the region, the people of Adana should go to nature.
