It is reported that 38 suspects were arrested in an operation against the Fetullah Terrorist Organization/Parallel State Structure (FETÖ/PDY) in Istanbul. 28 people were arrested in the investigation. The money transfer revealed in the operation was captured on police camera.
Istanbul Anti-Smuggling Crimes Branch Directorate and MIT conducted a simultaneous operation in 4 districts on May 7 in connection with the investigation on FETÖ/PDY’s current women’s organization. It is learned that 38 suspects were arrested as a result of a joint operation conducted by security and intelligence units.
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, it was found out that university students who come to Istanbul from Anatolian provinces to study or live in Istanbul and belong to families affiliated with the organization, rent houses to people who are not affiliated with FETÖ and place students in these houses. As a result of the investigations, it was determined that FETÖ members assigned by T.K., an organization officer living abroad, provided furniture to these houses, paid monthly rent expenses, met their needs and supervised their organizational activities. During the technical and physical surveillance, it was revealed that the money collected by the members of the organization for the expenses of the houses within the scope of FETÖ’s current structuring was given to those in charge with a new tactic.
It was determined that the so-called organization’s supervisors agreed in advance with the people in charge of the organization’s houses to receive the money and came together in crowded squares of the city and gave the bags containing the money to the members of the organization while hugging each other as if they had “just met”.
The police also recorded the money collected as part of FETÖ/PDY’s current structuring activities changing hands within 10 seconds through this method.
On the other hand, according to the allegations in the same investigation file, security and intelligence units determined that 14 minors were handed over by their families to FETÖ houses or organization officers and handed them over to their families after consulting with a pedagogue. On the other hand, the moments when FETÖ member women gave money to each other were captured on police cameras.
