Galatasaray Club and sportswear brand PUMA signed a cooperation agreement for the 5-year shirt sponsorship of the yellow-red football teams.
Within the scope of the agreement, PUMA will sponsor the men’s and women’s teams as well as the youth teams in football.
The signing ceremony was held at the RAMS Park press conference room with the participation of Galatasaray Club President Dursun Özbek.
Making statements at the meeting, Dursun Özbek said that the PUMA brand will support Galatasaray’s football teams from design to production.
Emphasizing that the yellow-red team will be assertive in the championship next season, Özbek said, “I think they have started designs for Galatasaray’s 5-star jersey. I am already looking forward to seeing these designs.”
Asked about Barış Alper Yılmaz, one of the players who performed at a high level in the national team, Özbek said, “Barış Alper Yılmaz is a valuable player for us. We do not intend to break the champion team. We intend to keep the skeleton of the team the same. We have not received a serious offer yet.”
PUMA Middle East General Manager Taner Seyis said, “We want our products to be exhibited by the best clubs.”
Stating that PUMA also contributes to the basketball and volleyball federations in Turkey, Seyis said that they will continue to support Hatayspor and that they are the national jersey sponsor of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Seyis stated that since the jerseys are produced in Turkey, there will be no problems in supply and that the jerseys will be very popular in terms of design.
Stating that 4 different jerseys will be produced for the yellow-red team, Seyis said, “The problem of illegal and fake jerseys is not only a problem in Turkey, there are similar situations all over the world. We will sell jerseys with 3 different prices as pro, replica and fan jerseys. The pro jersey will be 6 thousand liras, the replica jersey will be 3 thousand liras and the fan jersey will be under 3 thousand liras. In this way, we will try to prevent illegal jersey sales with 3 price levels.”
