Hakkari Co-Mayor Mehmet Sıddık Akış, who was replaced by a trustee appointed by the Ministry of Interior, was sentenced to 19 years and 6 months in prison.
Hakkari Co-Mayor Mehmet Sıddık Akış was detained and a trustee was appointed in his place. The 61st hearing of the lawsuit filed against Akış in 2014 was held today at Hakkari 1st Assize Court.
The verdict came out in the case. The court sentenced Akış to 19 years and 6 months in prison.
