On the 221st day of Israel’s offensive on Gaza, fierce clashes are taking place from the north to the south of the Gaza Strip. These clashes are recorded as the most intense clashes in recent weeks.

Israel attacked Jabaliya Refugee Camp in the north of Gaza, claiming that Hamas was reorganizing, causing casualties. In the south of Gaza, in the Rafah region, the Israeli army continued its air and ground attacks. The main roads through which humanitarian aid is delivered to Gaza were seized.

International Aid and Situation

International aid agencies reported that the flow of aid to Gaza has stopped, making it difficult to deliver food, medical supplies and fuel. Hamas announced that the Israeli bombardment had cut off communication with its members responsible for protecting hostages.

Death of UN Employee

In Rafah, a UN employee was killed when a UN vehicle was targeted. This is the first recorded death of an international UN employee since the beginning of the conflict

International and Political Reactions

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said, “If Hamas disarms, the war can end.” US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said that Israel’s actions in Gaza do not constitute genocide and that a comprehensive operation against Gaza would be a mistake. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said that attacks against Israel will continue as long as the Gaza war does not end.
