Israel attacked the tents of displaced Palestinians. It was announced that at least 40 people lost their lives in the attack. The bombing of the tent camp was protested in Berlin, Paris, Geneva, Beirut and Jerusalem.

In Germany, Israel’s attack on the camp of displaced Palestinians in Rafah city was protested. In the capital Berlin, thousands of people gathered at Alexanderplatz Square, one of the symbolic places of the city, to protest the Israeli attack.

The demonstrators carrying Palestinian flags and banners reading “Free Palestine”, “Hands off Rafah”, “Stop arming the monster”, “All eyes on Rafah”, “Stop arming Israel” chanted slogans such as “Boycott Israel”, “Netanyahu is a terrorist”, “Israel kills children and women”, “Stop the genocide” and against the German government.

Models of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were placed in the demonstration area. Representative missiles were placed around the models whose hands were painted red to represent blood.

Katja, who participated in the demonstration and did not want to give her last name, told AA correspondent that the Israeli army’s attack on the camp where displaced Palestinians are located in the city of Rafah is “horrifying” and said, “You don’t want to look there, but you have to look. This is such unnecessary, senseless violence that it is unbelievable that it will not end.”

A demonstrator named Cassandra stated that she has participated in at least 25 demonstrations in the last 7 months and said, “Last night in Rafah, babies were beheaded and all this is financed above all by German silence, by German taxes.”

CALL FOR CEASEFIRE IN PARIS

Israel’s attack on the tent city in Rafah was also protested in Paris, the capital of France. Palestine supporters gathered at the Saint-Augustin Square and demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, where Israeli attacks continue.

Reacting to Israel’s bombardment of the camp of displaced Palestinians in Rafah, the protesters chanted “Israel is a murderer, (French President Emmanuel) Macron is an accomplice”, “Israel get out, Palestine does not belong to you” and “Long live Palestine”.

The demonstrators carried Palestinian flags and a banner reading “Hey (Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin) Netanyahu, the International Criminal Court has given you an appointment”. Police teams stationed at different exit points of Saint-Augustin Square did not allow the demonstrators to leave the square for about 1.5 hours.

The demonstrators, who were blocked by the police, could not march to the Israeli Embassy in Paris, which was their predetermined destination. The protesters then chose a different direction and held a minute of silence for the Palestinians who lost their lives in Israel’s attacks on Gaza near the Saint-Lazare Station.

Some of the protesters also staged a sit-in in the same area, some of them climbed a scaffold attached to a building and waved Palestinian flags. During the march, which was attended by thousands of people, police repeatedly intervened with tear gas.

Demonstrators marched past international supermarket branches and fast food chains that support Israel and booed these businesses. Protesters left their handprints in red paint on the facades of these businesses.

“Free Palestine” was written in Arabic and English on the walls of different buildings in the streets of Paris. The demonstrators continued their protests by scattering in groups on different streets.

HUNDREDS GATHERED IN GENEVA

Hundreds of people in Geneva, Switzerland organized a demonstration in support of Palestine despite the rainy weather and called for “stopping the genocide in Gaza”.

The protesters gathered at the Bel Air Square in the city during the hours of heavy rain and chanted slogans against Israel.

Protesters carrying Palestinian flags reacted to the Israeli army’s attack on the displaced Palestinian camp in Rafah last night.

The protesters accused the Swiss government of complicity in Israel’s actions in Gaza and stated that they “call for an end to the genocide in Gaza”.
