This week in Istanbul, a wide range of concerts, exhibitions, theater performances and performances by local and foreign artists will be presented to the taste of art lovers.
The play “Aydınlıkevler” written by Yılmaz Erdoğan, directed by Serdar Biliş and starring Demet Akbağ, Salih Bademci and Burak Dakak will be staged at Maximum Uniq Hall at 21.00 today.
The one-man play “Dear Arsız Ölüm Dirmit”, written and directed by Hakan Emre Ünal and starring Nezaket Erden, will be staged at the Moda Stage Grand Hall on July 6.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Theaters will host Japan’s traditional theater Noh at Harbiye Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage tomorrow at 19.30.
Concerts
Canadian singer and composer Loreena McKennitt, who draws attention with her eclectic Celtic music, will take the stage at Harbiye Open Air tomorrow at 21.00.
Artists Erkan Oğur and İsmail Hakkı Demircioğlu will perform a repertoire of Anatolian folk songs for art lovers at Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall (CRR) on July 4.
Erol Evgin, one of the famous names of Turkish pop music, will meet with Istanbulites at Maximum Uniq Open Air on July 4 at 21.00.
Black Pumas, one of the important bands of the psychedelic soul genre, will take the stage at Zorlu PSM tomorrow as part of “PSM Loves Summer by 100% Music”.
Pentagram, one of the pioneering bands of Turkish heavy metal, will take the stage with a symphony orchestra at “An Epic Symphony & Pentagram” concert on July 5 at Harbiye Open Air.
Sweden’s Yngwie Malmsteen, one of the world’s leading guitar virtuosos, will meet his fans on July 6 and Russian pianist Evgeny Grinko will meet his fans on July 3 at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Theater.
Singer, songwriter and dancer Zeynep Bastık will give a concert at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Theatre today at 21.00 with the organization of Atlantis Production.
Exhibitions
The exhibition “Gospel of Victory”, prepared for the 105th anniversary of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey and the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev’s birth, will be open to visitors at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) until July 5.
The group exhibition “Small Works/Big Works” curated by artist Hülya Yazıcı at the Independent Art Foundation will be open to visitors until July 10.
The exhibition “Macedonia in the Ottoman Period with Documents and Photographs” opened at the Ottoman Archives Department in Kağıthane in cooperation with the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey State Archives Directorate and the State Archives of the Republic of North Macedonia is also waiting for art lovers to visit.
