Minister Koca explained the new system in the following words: “Every patient who has an appointment for the next day will confirm their appointment until 20:00 in the evening or notify that they cannot come. We call this system the Confirmed Appointment System and this new period initiated in MHRS the Confirmed Appointment Period. The application starts on Monday.”

At the “National Health Evaluation and Coordination Meeting” held at the Ministry, Koca stated that as health managers and software engineers, they have established an infrastructure that will make it extremely easy to receive health services.

Stating that patients over the age of 65 and cancer patients will be exempted in the new period, Minister Koca emphasized that this system will enable hospitals and physicians to use time efficiently. He said that empty appointments will be used for patients waiting for service and patients who leave a request will be prioritized.

“In addition to the Code White application, the Code Gray application was launched as a pilot application. As a result of our efforts, the number of Code White cases decreased from 31 per 1 million to 14 per 1 million. In regions where Code Gray is applied, this decrease is more than 50 percent. We provide services in 23 City Hospitals with a total bed capacity of more than 34 thousand. The construction of 12 City Hospitals, which will have a bed capacity of 15 thousand, is ongoing.

End Appointment Disloyalty

Emphasizing that this step was taken in order to use the appointment capacity efficiently, Minister Koca stated that if patients cancel their appointments, the vacant appointments will be used for patients waiting for service. In this way, it is aimed to fill the gaps caused by appointment unfaithfulness.
