Minister of National Education Tekin answered journalists’ questions before the AK Party group meeting at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Regarding the demands of private sector teachers for a base salary, Minister Tekin said, “We are also in talks with private school representatives on these issues. We are making efforts to produce solutions that will not victimized our fellow teachers.”

Regarding the upcoming summer vacation, Tekin said, “Our children should spend the summer months on vacation. I wish them to have a nice vacation outside of school, outside the classroom, by reading, doing other kinds of activities, social activities, artistic activities, seeing the beauties of our country. I also recommend that parents look at their children and students in this way and guide them in this way. This is also a part of education.”
