MoNE announces dates for summer schools and courses

The Ministry of National Education has published the e-Guide for the Support and Training Courses (DYK) to be opened during the summer semester, summer school and academic year.

According to the DYK e-Guide published on May 15, the Ministry of National Education announced that summer courses and summer schools will be held between July 1-August 29, while education and training courses will be held between September 2, 2024-June 6, 2025.

A First in Support and Training Courses

In the summer schools, which will be opened in 81 provinces for the first time this year, students from 2nd to 12th grades will be able to attend courses in sports, visual arts, informatics and music. The statement said that the courses to be offered as part of the summer school are planned to be held after 13:30 and 5 days a week. Teachers and students will be able to participate in the courses in their settlements.

Sub-fields of Summer School Courses:

Sports: Athletics, Basketball, Archery, Football, Swimming, Volleyball, Handball, Table Tennis, Folk Games, Chess.

Visual Arts: Painting, Marbling, Art and Design, Calligraphy, Photography.

Music: Guitar, Violin, Piano/Org, Baglama/Saz, Oud/Kanun, Turkish Folk Music, Turkish Art Music, Melodica.

Informatics: Software, Robotic Coding, Office Programs, Arduino Programming, Computer Document Preparation, Introduction to Computers.

Application Process:

For the first time this year, applications of students and teachers for summer schools to be opened in 81 provinces will be accepted between June 3-12. Starting on July 1, the courses will end on August 29. Students who want to attend the courses will be able to apply through the e-Course module on the “https://e-kurs.meb.gov.tr” website. Students will complete their applications by making a choice from the courses determined by the course center.
