Minister Salissou Mahamane Salissou visited the site to oversee the work on the 276 km Tahoua-Filingué road.
The minister’s visit aimed to assess the progress of development and paving work on the road. The project, divided into three sections, involves several companies.
The inspection started with the 125 km Filingué-Sanam section in the Tillabéri region. The ministerial delegation then moved to the Sanam-Tebaram section, which has reached 98% physical completion and 93% financial execution for the double-layer surface coating. The ACOSER/SBF group was instructed to supply the missing bitumen to complete the work.
The next stop was the 55 km Tebaram-N’Karkadan section, where new facilities, including a health center and a school in the village of Chiguinawan, are being built. The minister urged the local population to ensure the preservation of these infrastructures.
Finally, on the 54 km N’Karkadan-Tahoua section, 87% completed, Minister Salissou requested that companies continue their work. The delegation also inspected the Bambey basin and the Gueben Zogui bridge, damaged by heavy rains, which are being renovated with PIDUREM funding.
