North Korea has launched at least 10 short-range ballistic missiles in the direction of the Sea of Japan.
The North Korean government continues its missile tests despite all reactions. This time North Korea fired at least 10 short-range ballistic missiles in the direction of the Sea of Japan. In a statement made by the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), it was stated that the missiles were fired from the Sunan region of Pyongyang at around 06.14 local time. It was emphasized that the South Korean military shared information with the US and Japan and continued its analysis and follow-up activities.
Condemnation from Japanese Prime Minister Kishida
The Japanese government also confirmed the missile test. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said the missiles were assessed to have fallen outside the country’s exclusive economic zone. Sharing the information that the missiles did not cause any damage according to preliminary determinations, Kishida said, “We strongly condemn North Korea’s ballistic missile tests, which are a violation of United Nations (UN) resolutions.” Stating that they will continue their analysis and follow-up activities, Kishida added that they will maintain close cooperation with the US and South Korea.
First missile test since May 17

It was announced that the rocket carrying North Korea’s satellite exploded due to engine failure immediately after the launch.
