The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff announced that as of yesterday, North Korea has sent bags of garbage, leaflets sent by South Korean activists and waste attached to large flying balloons into South Korean territory.
“North Korea’s anti-South balloons can cause damage not only to residential areas but also to airports and highways,” South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said, as local media reported the number of balloons to be close to 200.
Emphasizing that North Korea’s tit-for-tat actions clearly violate international law, South Korea said, “We sternly warn North Korea to immediately end its inhumane and rude action.”
