National Wrestler Yasemin Adar Yiğit Prepares for Paris 2024 Olympic Games with Gold Medal Target
World and European champion national wrestler Yasemin Adar Yiğit is preparing for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with the goal of gold medal. Yiğit stated that they are working hard to represent Turkey in the best way and that they are in very good condition as a team. The national wrestler, who will go to Paris with 5 athletes in the women’s wrestling branch, said that she wants to win a gold medal at the Olympics and sing the Turkish National Anthem.
Women’s Wrestling National Team Technical Director Efraim Kahraman stated that they expect Yasemin Adar Yiğit to make history. Underlining that women have also achieved very successful results in wrestling, Yiğit stated that they will go to Paris with 5 female athletes in this branch. Yiğit announced that Evin Demirhan, Zeynep Yetgil, Nesrin Baş, Buse Tosun and herself will represent Turkey at the Olympics.
A Champion Pursuing Her Dreams
Yasemin Adar Yiğit stated that when she started wrestling, there were some people who said that women could not do this sport, but she never believed these statements and followed her dreams. Yiğit said, “Thank God, my friends and I have won championships and now our team is very strong. Only the Olympic gold medal is missing from my collection, I have won all the other gold medals. My goal now is to win a gold medal at the Olympics and sing our National Anthem.”
The Pride of Being a Role Model
Emphasizing that she is the best role model for young people as a female wrestler who achieved firsts in Turkey, Yiğit said, “I try to guide our young girls. Our girls are achieving great success. They send me messages on social media saying, ‘Sister, I want to be like you. I am happy if I can be a good example for them,” she said.
Hard Preparation and Big Goals
Efraim Kahraman, Technical Director of the Women’s National Wrestling Team, stated that they continue their preparations very hard. Stating that their goal is to become Olympic champion, Kahraman said, “We made history again by participating in the Olympics with five women wrestlers. We are very happy, our goal is very big. Our goal is to produce an Olympic champion. God willing, we will achieve this. Only the Olympic championship is missing from Yasemin’s collection. We expect Yasemin to make history by adding it in Paris,” he said.
Sacrifice and Perseverance
The Ay-yildiz athlete reminded that he received a quota for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games by defeating his rivals in Baku. Yiğit stated that they are in a very good condition as a team and that they will represent Turkey in the best way at the Olympics by working hard. “We are in camp for 11 months and we sacrifice a lot. We cannot get together with our loved ones on holidays, weddings and funerals. We are always in camp, away from our families and spouses. Our technical committee is the same way. We are always working to represent our country in the best way. There is a very beautiful goal, target and path,” he said.
