In Izmir, 9 suspects were detained in an operation against FETÖ/PDY members whose names were mentioned in digital data seized from secret witness ‘Garson’.
Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office Terrorism Crimes Investigation Bureau conducted an investigation against FETÖ/PDY armed terrorist organization. A detention warrant was issued for 9 suspects who were found to be members of the organization in the digital data seized from the secret witness ‘Garson’, who were reported to have attended the meetings of the organization, who were found to be in contact with security imams, and who were found to have consecutive call information with atac report. It is learned that the suspects are 6 police officers actively working in Izmir Police Department and 3 dismissed sergeants. 9 suspects were detained in a simultaneous operation organized to their addresses and were taken to police headquarters for interrogation after a health check.
