Elif Naz Derdiyokoğlu (8), who entered the water park where citizens went to cool off in Efirli Neighborhood of Perşembe district, was caught in an electric current.
Realizing the situation, business owner Mustafa Kemal Günay (48) tried to save the child.
Günay and Derdiyokoğlu, who was also caught in the current, were rescued with the help of those around them.
Mustafa Kemal Günay, who was taken to Ordu State Hospital by 112 Emergency Medical Teams dispatched to the scene, could not be saved despite the interventions.
Elif Naz Derdiyokoğlu, who was taken to Ordu Training and Research Hospital, was transferred to a private hospital in Samsun.
It was learned that Elif Naz Derdiyokoğlu, who was in serious condition, came to the water park as part of the activity of a children’s swimming club.
Gendarmerie teams started an investigation into the incident.
