Selim Kasapoğlu, President of Denizli Chamber of Industry, visited the HOMETEX fair organized in Istanbul. President Kasapoğlu said, “We are Turkey’s largest production center. There are a total of 700 exhibitors, more than 100 of these exhibitors are from Denizli.”
While the fair, which brings together the national and international players of the sector in Istanbul, was realized with great interest of domestic and foreign visitors, 103 companies from Denizli took their place in the fair this year. President Kasapoğlu, who did not leave the companies from Denizli alone, visited the fair with his entourage and examined the stands. Answering the questions of the press members afterwards, Kasapoğlu wished that the fair, where Denizli was strongly represented, would be beneficial. Stating that they consider this organization as an important platform for sector professionals, Kasapoğlu said, “We believe that the fair will strengthen the exports of all our companies. The business contacts established and the negotiations realized will contribute positively to the sector. I would like to state that this fair, which we also care about in terms of the development of the fair culture in our country, will shape the textile sector, which we are ambitious as Denizli.”
“Denizli is the leader in Turkey and the world in many textile products”
Stating that Denizli is the leader in Turkey and the world in many textile products, Kasapoğlu said, “Denizli is one of the most important players in the home textile sector in Turkey. We are the biggest production center in Turkey, especially in the production of sheets, duvet covers, towels and bathrobes. The participation in this fair also shows this. There are 700 exhibitors in total, more than 100 of these exhibitors are from Denizli.”
“Our industrialists continue to struggle despite all difficulties”
Stating that the textile sector is going through a troubled period and the reflections of this are felt, President Kasapoğlu said, “Despite all these difficulties, our exporters and industrialists continue to open their stands at fairs and continue to struggle. They struggle to increase their exports and production. We are with them on the first day of the fair. We consult and evaluate the sector. We have the opportunity to talk about what we need to do as a chamber. I wish success once again to all our companies participating in the fair. I hope that it will lead to a period in which good results are obtained for the next season and our export and employment figures start to increase again. I hope that the next process will be more successful for the industrialist for the textile industry.”
