It was revealed that singer Kalben Sağdıç, who was detained and released in a drug operation in Istanbul, was detained as a result of a tip-off from her friend. In the operation organized in Cihangir, Istanbul in the morning hours, Kalben was detained for “manufacturing, importing or exporting drugs or stimulants without a license or in violation of the license”. During a search of Kalben’s house, 2 thousand Euros, 730 dollars and 1,500 TL were seized along with three pieces of “skunk” type drugs weighing 15 grams in three pieces.
Singer Kalben Sağdıç stated in his statement that he did not sell the seized drugs, but used them himself. Kalben, who was detained within the scope of Article 188 of the Turkish Penal Code, was taken to Istanbul Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch for a statement. Kalben, who was referred to the courthouse after the procedures at the police station, was referred to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace on Duty with the request for judicial control with a ban on leaving the country and was released by the judgeship by applying judicial control provisions.
