According to November data compiled by OAG Aviation, the South African airline Safair ranked second among the world’s most punctual airlines, with an on-time arrival rate of 94.8%.
In first place is Oman Air, with an on-time arrival rate of 95.5%.
Other Africa-based airlines also made it to the list of the 110 most punctual airlines. These include South African Airways, with an on-time arrival rate of 78.83%, Kenya’s Jambojet with 77.89%, and Egypt’s Egyptair with 60.54%.
In OAG’s ranking, a flight is considered “one-off” if it arrives within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, and cancellations are included in the analysis as “non-one-off.”
