Samsung’s best-selling model in the European market in the first quarter of 2024 was the Galaxy S24 Ultra, overtaking the iPhone 15. According to a report from Canalys, sales of the Galaxy S24 Ultra topped 1.6 million units. This result shows the success of a high-priced model like the S24 Ultra in a market where Samsung’s affordable A-series models usually stand out. In previous years, the Galaxy S series has lagged behind the A series, but this year Samsung’s strategy has been effective in driving users to the premium segment.
Although the S24 Ultra lagged behind the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro models, it attracted attention by surpassing the iPhone 15. Apple also managed to attract users to more expensive models during this period. So it seems that Samsung and Apple are following a similar trend: users have started to show interest in higher-priced phones.
Xiaomi also had a great success with its Redmi 13C and Redmi Note 13 4G models and managed to enter the top 10 list. A significant increase compared to last year, Xiaomi performed strongly in the European market.
