The Bosphorus was closed to two-way traffic due to a ship breakdown in the Bosphorus.
In the statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, “For the 176-meter-long ship named CORNELIA, which had an engine breakdown in front of Beşiktaş in the Bosphorus, our pilot captain and Kurtarma-9 tugboat affiliated to the General Directorate of Coastal Safety of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure were urgently directed to the scene. Istanbul Strait vessel traffic has been suspended bidirectionally and temporarily.”
