The BIST 100 index, which moved in an upward trend in the first half of the day, increased by 51.57 points to 10,728.22 points as of 13:00 compared to the previous close. Total transaction volume was 40.9 billion liras.
Banking index rose 1.26 percent, holding index rose 0.24 percent
Among the sector indices, the highest gainer was sports with 5.22 percent and the highest decline was insurance with 1.94 percent.
Analysts noted that global markets started the week with a positive course due to the easing in inflation expectations measured by the University of Michigan in the US on the last trading day of last week.
Stating that the intense data agenda, especially growth data in the US this week, has been the focus of investors, analysts noted that 10,800 and 11,000 points in the BIST 100 index are in the resistance position, while 10,600 and 10,500 levels are in the support position.
