The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 10,680.50 points with a horizontal course.
At the opening, the BIST 100 index increased by 0.51 points compared to the previous close to 10,680.50 points.
The banking index increased by 0.03 percent, while the holding index decreased by 0.04 percent. Among the sector indices, sports gained the most with 0.75 percent, while textiles and leather lost the most with 0.34 percent.
Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, which followed a sellers’ course, ended the day at 10,679.98 points, down 0.82 percent.
Analysts said that global equity markets followed a mixed course with the search for more clues about the steps to be taken by the US Federal Reserve (Fed) in the coming period and cautious verbal guidance from bank officials.
Stating that today, weekly money and banking statistics in Turkey, GfK consumer confidence index in Germany and new home sales data in the USA will be followed abroad, analysts noted that technically, 10,800 and 10,900 levels are in the resistance position, 10,600 and 10,500 points are in the support position in the BIST 100 index.
