The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the week at 10,714.07 points, up 0.62 percent.
At the opening, the BIST 100 index increased by 66.16 points and 0.62 percent compared to the previous close to 10,714.07 points
The banking index increased by 0.79 percent and the holding index by 0.70 percent. Among the sector indices, the highest gainer was stone soil with 0.98 percent, while the highest loser was securities investment trust with 0.95 percent.
On Friday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, which followed a fluctuating course, ended the day at 10,647.91 points, down 0.31 percent.
Analysts stated that in global equity markets, the strengthening of the predictions that the far right may have difficulty in obtaining an absolute majority in the elections in France supported the risk appetite, and said that in addition to the intense data agenda this week, the verbal guidance of important central bank presidents has become the focus of investors.
Stating that manufacturing industry Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) data in Turkey and worldwide and inflation data in Germany will be followed today, analysts noted that 10,800 and 10,900 points are in the resistance position, 10,600 and 10,500 levels are in the support position in the BIST 100 index.
