According to the information compiled by AA correspondent, TMV continues to work for these purposes.
TMV’s work on teaching Turkish as a foreign language is carried out through a curriculum based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
The “Program for Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language”, which was approved by the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) Board of Education and Instruction and created with the contribution of academics and institutions from various universities, forms the cornerstone of this process.
The Foundation attaches great importance to the systematic teaching of Turkish especially at pre-school, primary, secondary and high school levels, and offers education with rich and comprehensive content in accordance with international language teaching standards.
For this purpose, Turkish textbooks and leveled supplementary reading books were developed within the framework of the curriculum prepared for K-12 levels.
Turkey Maarif Foundation provides Turkish language teaching in schools through the selection of Turkish teachers who are graduates of education faculties in Turkey or Turkish teachers working in the Ministry of National Education.
The selection of teachers is carried out meticulously through exams and the Turkish Teacher Adaptation and Development Program, and the teachers trained in this program are sent to Maarif schools to represent Turkey and Turkish language abroad.

Turkish education from kindergarten to high school
The aim is to ensure that students graduating from Maarif schools have at least B2 level Turkish skills and to spread Turkish in the international arena through Turkish-speaking students.
One of the biggest goals of the foundation is to teach Turkish from kindergarten to high school in schools in 53 countries.
In line with the country’s educational and cultural diplomacy, TMV considers teaching Turkish all over the world as an investment in Turkey’s future and teaches Turkish to 53 thousand students in 467 schools around the world.
Another important issue emphasized by the Foundation is the proper presentation and promotion of Turkey and Turkish culture.
Turkey sees raising Turkish-speaking, Turkey-friendly generations who have studied at TMV schools as an important investment in the future of the country.
In cooperation with universities, TMV has established Turkey Studies Centers to carry out research on Turkey and Turkish language teaching activities, and has attempted to open a Turcology department at TMV Tirana New York University in Albania.

Activities for Turkish children in Europe
TMV, which also carries out activities for Turkish children in Europe, opened European Education Centers in order to contribute to the development of the mother tongue of bilingual Turkish children.
On the other hand, the “TMV Turkish Teaching Model for Bilingual Children” supports the development of the mother tongue of these children.
While the Foundation carries out its activities in coordination with relevant institutions in Turkey, TMV and Turkish-German University organized the “International Workshop on Teaching Turkish to Bilingual Turkish Children” on May 22-23 with the participation of the Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Family and Social Services, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) and Turkish Language Institution.
