One of Turkey’s most important transit routes, the TEM Highway and the Bolu crossing of the D-100 highway are experiencing traffic congestion in the Ankara direction due to holidaymakers who want to go to their hometowns.

Holidaymakers, who set off for their hometowns for the Eid al-Adha holiday, cause traffic congestion on the TEM Highway and D-100 Highway Ankara direction Bolu Mountain passes. Provincial Security Directorate teams, who have increased their measures for holidaymakers to travel smoothly, warn drivers not to speed, to maintain following distances and to wear their seat belts. In addition, traffic in the region is disrupted from time to time due to small and large vehicles that break down on Bolu Mountain viaducts. At the Köroğlu Ramps, heavy traffic was also visualized from the air with a drone. Heavy traffic is expected to continue until Saturday.
