In a tragic incident in Diyarbakır, Eyüp Diyar Fidan (23), who was brought to the hospital by taxi and was said to have ‘fallen from a height’, was actually wounded with a knife and died despite interventions. Investigations into this incident revealed that it was related to a knife-armed fight.
Fidan was brought to a private hospital in Bağlar district by taxi and was told that he ‘fell from a height’. However, police teams working on the fight that took place around the same time examined security camera footage and determined that Fidan was also involved in the incident. He went to the police station and stated that the incident was actually a murder and that Fidan was wounded with a knife.
A suspect named Çetin Eren (31) was identified and arrested in connection with Fidan’s injury. One of the other suspects was released with judicial control, while the investigation is ongoing.
Fidan’s body was handed over to his relatives after the autopsy at the forensic medicine institution and buried in Yeniköy Cemetery in Bağlar district.
